My name is Joanie Whatley Christie. I am the youngest daughter of Mike and Janet Whatley. I am a 1998 graduate of Edgewood Academy. In 2003 I graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I married Greg Christie of Alpine, Alabama, in May 2004. Greg and I have been blessed with three children. Colt Whatley Christie was born June 16, 2005. Canter Gregory Christie and Cutter Michael Christie were born on March 31, 2011. The 2023-2024 school year is my 21st year teaching in the Elmore County School System. I taught third grade at Wetumpka Elementary School for fifteen years. I taught fourth grade at Holtville Elementary School for four years, and this year is my second year to teach first grade at Holtville Elementary School.
